Dj Raj is absolutely no stranger to the DJ community in Iowa and beyond. He has been hustling for years, with his own roots going back well into the ’90’s nightclub scene. He remains ever growing, expanding and consistently leaving his mark in a multitude of microcosms within the more general dance music community at large.
Known for his long running Ibiza series, Barkandi, Eargasm, Dubstep Invasion Taboo, Concrete Jungle and Shock Therapy, the more recent Iowa loves Bollywood Series , as well as several other nights about town. And let’s not forget his influential Des Moines based production crew Eclipse Ent. Fan Page/Ibiza/Eargasm and that not so little detail of being a Co-Owner of the Midwest renowned and continually evolving 515 Alive Music Festival, Bushwack festival, Kosmos Camping Festival , Bohemian Block party new Manifest Concerts.
I Started producing music in 2013 on a launchpad connected with Ableton, and slowly transitioned into mixing music as well. To this day I continue to produce all types of EDM, as well as DJ all types of EDM. My favorite genres to produce as well as mix would be drum and bass & future bass music.

Jim has been programming parties in Des Moines since 1977 when he got his start as the resident DJ at The Joker Lounge, a 24,500 sq. ft entertainment complex. Over the years he has entertained tens of thousands of people while maintaining residencies at some of Des Moines’ most well known and popular clubs; Z International, Aztec Thunder, Celebrations, Papa Smithsons, Juke Box Saturday Night, Papa’s Planet, Papa’s Paradise, Bugsy’s, Coconut Joes, Crush, Energy, Le Boi and Lime Lounge. He’s been featured at places like Vieux Carre, Kamodo Klub, Beneath, Aura, Club Element, Boom Boom Room, AJ’s Ultra Lounge and is now playing regularly at Voodoo Lounge.
You’ve seen him perform with some major touring DJs like; Bad Boy Bill, DJ Skribble, DJ 2nd Nature, Nick Rockwell & Cutmaster Swiff from Outkast. He has been a regular at the annual 515 Alive Urban Music and Arts Festival.
In the late 80’s Jim was billed as Des Moines’ Mixmaster on Z93 (the # 1 top 40 station in Des Moines). His dance mix edits of top 40 hits were featured throughout the week in regular programming and each Saturday night three thirty minute continuous mix sets were featured as part of a three hour dance show hosted by Jimmy Wright, current Star 102 personality. In this role he was also the featured talent at many dances on the Court Avenue Bridge, either hosted by Z93 or part of events like Two Rivers Festival.
In 1988 working through Wide Angle Records in Minneapolis he did the 12” Vocal and Instrumental Dub edits for “Turn it up” by the group New from Los Angeles.
Over the years and through all the venues Jim has programmed to many different types of audiences with varied musical styles, including; Disco, Rap, Top 40, Euro NRG, Hip Hop, Trance, Techno and House, a true Open Format DJ.
An Iowa-native, DJ T. Hack learned to DJ under world-famous DJ Skee at the Skee Lodge in Hollywood, California. It was there that he rubbed elbows with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including 2 Chainz, Kid Ink, Ace Hood, Problem, Iggy Azalea, DJ Green Lantern, and Caroline D’Amore. His mixes have aired on Sirius XM Hip Hop Nation, 102.7 KIIS FM in Los Angeles, and Dash Radio.
T. Hack is now back in Iowa and spinning at clubs all over the state. You can hear him mixing on HITS 99.9 every Friday and Saturday night. Dj Soundwave is a familiar face in the Des Moines and surrounding area Nightlife who is making a name for himself by performing for the Hip Hop, Latin, and EDM scene and also merging those styles. He has played for crowds at 515 Alive, Kosmos Music Festival, and competed and won a Dancefestopia Talent Search 2016 to play at the Festival 2016. With his unique style and drive to perform and work with todays top promotors he is definitely a person to look for in the Dj booth wherever he performs.
Joonie C has been a staple on the scene in Des Moines and around the world today. His mix of multi-genre tracks and mash ups sets him apart from anything you hear today. His knowledge of music go far back since early childhood. The son of a musician, Joonie C always been around music and in the early 80s witnessed the birth of the Hip Hop sound and was infatuated.
Joonie C got his first break in 1990 playing at a local club in Murfreesboro, NC on weekends til 1992 he enlisted in the US Army. In 1995 Joonie C started drive trucks but still on the DJ scene in NC until 2001 he moved to Minnesota and stopped DJing, But kept music close to heart.
In 2010 living in Omaha, Nebraska Joonie C came back on the DJ Scene locally, and globally across social media. He started video podcasts called 2 Turntables & A Truck doing live DJ sets in the rig from rest areas and truck stops in which become the nickname The Turntable Trucker. In 2011 Joonie C moves to Des Moines, IA and hit the DJ scene running. Along with DJ sets in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Sacramento, He has also performed at 515 Alive and Kosmos Music Festival. Also 1 of the DJs for the Des Moines Blaze football team and resident DJ of Hot Shotz in Oskaloosa, IA.

ELKN is an up and coming DJ that became inspired by attending festivals around the country. Now, not even a year into the game, ELKN has already performed at two music festivals, 515 Alive Music Festival and Basswoods Music Festival.
ELKN is adept in many genres of music and absorbs the energy of the crowd. ELKN’s sets are filled with a fusion of different styles where the baselines are heavy and melodic. Occasionally, you’ll hear him drop a deadmau5 track or two which brings the energy to another level.
Student by day, DJ by night, ELKN creates an atmosphere where people can let go of their problems and just enjoy the art of music.
Hello, I go by Cinco. Never once thought of becoming a DJ but early on anytime there was a party my name was called to the aux. People knew me for my taste in electronic dance music that always got the party jumping. Since then my arsenal of music has grown and adapted.
